Things are not going as we would want. Just a week before the scheduled operation Lyndall'slung infection returned with a vengeance. She has been battling high temperatures and a racing heartbeat so she is now being monitored in the cardiac ward. The splenectomy operation has been postponed until she is stronger. I just hope that is soon - her enlarged spleen now prevents her from eating solids and causes pain where it presses on her lungs, heart and adjacent organs. It is so hard to see her like this but she is firmly focussed on a good outcome so she keeps my spirits alive.
