2200hrs 24 July 2003 UTC: 04N58, 170W30,
course 204T, speed 6kts, wind NE 18, swell NE 2m, temps 30/31C. After motoring for 2 days we are now sailing to NE winds again. I hope we have crossed the ITCZ (a no-man's land where the NE and SE Trades meet). Last night was the worst with a total blackout squall, drenching rain and wind gusts all over the compass. I expect to see a SE shift soon. Conditions below are still uncomfortable though we managed a washing day yesterday - after 8 days in the tropics our clothes smelled a little high!
