Course 194T, speed 4.5kts, wind E9, swell NE 2m, temps 30/30. Now 1000nm from Hawaii, no ships, few birds but saw our first school of dolphins. Last night was dominated by heavy squalls, some w' rain, others lightening. Signs that the wind is swinging to the east. Maybe we are close to the ITCZ although the tropical streamline wefax suggests the SE and NE trades merge and we will have a shift from N E thro' E to SE but always some wind. We'll be glad if the sea flattens out and we can clean up and sleep properly.
