Well, here we are with only 50 miles to go on this year's cruise anchored next to a formal park with FM radio and TV in illywhacker's saloon. Nanaimo is the 2nd largest city on Vancouver Island and just a ferry ride from Vancouver itself. On a rollicking beam reach today across the Straits of Georgia under clear skies and a warm sun we crossed latitude 50N. A sad Goodbye to the snow-covered land of the Raven.
