Bath UK 17 Oct 2009
Tomorrow I fly home to Australia after a very fulfilling 2 months away.
The UK and Europe part of my trip provided a cultural contrast to the
North American section. Both however, were made possible by kind yachtie
friends from our past cruises. I was fortunate in being able to stay
with Robert and Jenece aboard their canal cruiser in the Arsenal marina,
right in the centre of Paris - a great way to explore that fascinating
city. As a contrast, I took the train to the calm forests of the
southern centre of France for a few days with Dominique and Nicolas, an
amazing couple whom we met in Alaska after their 3 year cruising
adventure in Pataginia. Now in the ancient city of Bath with our son
Matthew, his wife Julie and baby Thomas, my visit is complete.
Illywhacker is calling for a new journey.
