Nevada USA 27th August 2009

I'm a week into my pilgrimage to the USA, Canada, UK and Europe,
visiting friends that Lyndall and I made on our travels over the years.
Already I've stayed a few days in San Francisco aboard MV Nalu with Jim
and Diana Jessie whom we met and cruised with in Japan. After that our
wonderfully extrovert Alaskan friend Dolores collected me in her
Cadillac SUV for a spin across the northwest. We've been burning rubber
along highway 395 today to ear-splitting renditions from Jimmy Buffet
and tonight we're among the glitter of Nuggets' Casino in Sparks Nevada.
I'm having the 100% American experience - to focus the senses says
Dolores! Hopefully I'll reach the Canadian border in one piece next week
- I'll certainly be richer for the experience.
