19 Sep 2002: Walsh Cove.
After an easy few days in the Octopus Islands we took off this morning into a strong NW which developed into a gale. Our route was via "Hole-in-the-Wall" where a 3 kt current and a whiteout rainsquall made our electronic charts and radar earn their keep. This area is laced with passes and byways formed by steep ravines so wind gusts came from all directions. We anchored here just as the storm passed and commenced the serious business of collecting the largest oysters you've ever seen.
