The trick is to fit as much storage as possible into small spaces - illywhacker's Navigator's berth sits atop the batteries, invertor/charger, medical kits, tools and shoe storage! (and lately the aft air conditioner (left))
Illywhacker's Operations and Maintenance manual
During the course of illywhacker's construction we endeavoured to document as much as possible on computer. The concept was to simplify the operation and fault repair so that either of us would be able to "run the ship" should the other be out of commission. In this regard I have failed, largely in the electrical department where my imagination has run away and there is still work to be done to provide simple explanations for the non-Electrical Engineers.
Importantly though, all wiring is documented as is the plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical and deck facilities and there are many sections which explain the functions and operations needed to sail, motor and anchor. It is an ongoing task.
